WORKING OUT ON YOUR PERIOD YAY OR NAY ?
This is such a controversial topic, some people would recommend you do continue your workouts , yet others would say to stop and take it easy . Personally I think it is a good idea to workout , but just don’t do anything too intense, that will make your cramps worse , perhaps focus your workouts on light and easy stuff like like stretches and even stuff like yoga , in replacement of intense cardio workouts. Atleast until you are sure you are able to endure it. However light exercise’s are proven to reduce and help with cramping.
MY OWN EXPERIENCE
I myself typically get very bad period pains , which lead me to throw up and all kinds of things, so when it came to working out I usually just sat out, particularly when I went to my kickboxing lessons.
However things slightly changed during Chloe Ting’s workouts, when I started my period during week 2, I oddly enough didn’t experience any of my severe symptoms , I still don’t know if it’s because working out helped or simple due to chance , but I was able to continue with the program like usual. So to conclude I’d say listen to your body and don’t push yourself too hard , only do the things you know you can handle.
CHLOE TING UPDATE
Like I have mentioned previously in my Week 3 update , Chloe Ting has benefit me in more ways than I had ever hoped for, mentally and physically , the challenge has been hard but also very rewarding. I don’t think i mentioned this last time but I have also noticed more definition in my back and muscle gain in my arms where there was once fat.
It truly feels so great knowning I stuck with the program and made it through, I would 100% say that it is worth it, all the pain, the sweat and the tears. Now I’m looking forward to the next challenge of hers that I will do. Which will either be the intense core challenge or the hourglass challenge. I really can’t wait to get started , this is only the beginning of my fitness journey 🙂
