COVID!

Heyyyyyyy I’m back againnnnnnn!! I hope you are all healthy and staying safeeeeeee xx

Now that the government has relaxed the COVID rules for Christmas, it’s so much more important to protect yourself and others!

So this post will be a quick read and it’s just a few things to keep in mind!

  1. Wear a mask – now this one goes without saying. So I know a lot of people wear “face coverings” and not surgical masks which I understand why some people do that, so the NHS, doctors and nurses have enough surgical masks but a normal cloth that covers your face does absolutely NOTHING! A surgical mask (N3 mask) has 3 layers. Outer layer prevents most bacteria and particles from entering, the middle layer which acts as a second barrier so the bacteria and viruses can’t enter and a third layer to separate the skin and the middle layer. I would suggest to use a surgical mask and not a face covering because a face covering is just something that prevents you from breathing, it doesn’t do anything. If you’re really worried you should use an N95 mask which really protects you because it has a filter.

  3. Change your mask every few days – A surgical mask loses its effect in 4 hours and a N95 mask loses its effect in 8 hours. Personally, I change my mask every 4 days (if I’m going out of course)
  4. Keep your mask on at all times – There’s a common misconception that if you’re outside, out in the open, you can take off your mask. However, when you do that, if someone has COVID and they walk past you, most likely your’e going to catch it and same vice versa, if you had COVID and you didn’t know about it, you can pass it onto someone else. Finallyyyyy, the virus lingers around in air so if you take your mask off, there’s a higher possibility of catching it that way too!
  5. Wash your hands – Keep your hands clean, I don’t have much to say about this one. It’s ever so slightly stupid I think.

It’s just a few things to keep in mind 🙂

Good luck and stay safe

Lots of Love
